Known issues on the 2015 500. For the 2015 500, owners filed 92 complaints, with the power train (32), electrical system (26) and engine (12) at the top; 4 complaints reported a crash, 3 a fire and 3 an injury. NHTSA lists 3 recalls. In certain battery-electric cars built within a set window, a fault logged by the drive control unit can shift the car to neutral and cut drive, corrected by reprogramming. In certain manual-transmission cars from a set window, the clutch diaphragm spring can fracture and leave the driver unable to select a gear.
