Known issues on the 2012 500. The federal record lists 3 recalls for the 2012 500. On certain cars with the six-speed automatic, a failed shift-cable bushing can free the cable, so the chosen gear may not engage and the car can roll in PARK. Certain manual-transmission cars built within a set window can suffer a cracked clutch diaphragm spring that blocks gear changes or cuts drive. A third covered certain 2012 500 vehicles, 340 of them, assembled with contaminated brake fluid that can degrade brake seals.
