Known issues on the 2014 500. Three recalls appear on the federal record for the 2014 500. The first involves certain cars whose tire pressure warning lamp may not light when it should, so the car can be driven on underinflated tires; dealers reprogram the monitoring module. Certain cars with a manual transmission built within a set window risk a fractured clutch diaphragm spring, and certain battery-electric cars from a set window can slip into neutral when the drive control unit logs a fault. Owners lodged 124 complaints, chiefly power train 67, electrical system 22 and engine 19; 9 complaints reported a crash, 7 a fire and 6 an injury.
