Known issues on the 2014 Acadia. Six recalls sit on the federal record. Control module software can make the fuel gauge read wrong, so the vehicle runs dry and stalls; a transmission shift cable adjuster can come off the shift lever, leaving the driver unable to select a gear or reading a false position; and internal contamination in a chassis module can cause an electrical short that stalls the engine. Others cover a belt cable that can separate, curtain air bags left unsecured, and a driver's air bag inflator that can rupture and throw metal fragments.
