A safety belt with a steel cable that can fatigue and separate leaves the occupant unrestrained; second- and third-row buckles turn up in two of them, one where a trim shield blocks the buckle from rotating upright and one where a missing rivet lets the buckle part from its mounting strap. Others cover side air bag harness resistance, a heated washer module that can ignite, and a column shift arrangement that may leave the vehicle unable to restart or free to roll away.
