Known issues on the 2011 Acadia. Five recalls are recorded federally for this year. Side curtain air bags that were not properly fastened may not restrain occupants as designed, and seat-mounted side air bag harnesses with raised resistance may keep the side bags and pretensioners from firing. A safety belt cable can fatigue and part, an open liftgate can fall on a person, and a wiper problem can reduce the driver's visibility.
