Known issues on the 2013 Impreza. NHTSA has filed 4 recalls against the 2013 Impreza, and on certain turbocharged examples a failed relay can occur that leaves the secondary air injection pump running until it overheats and may melt, raising the risk of fire. On certain 2013 Impreza vehicles with a CVT and an Audiovox remote engine starter accessory, a dropped fob could start the engine on its own, a carbon monoxide hazard in an enclosed space. Complaints number 248, led by air bags (79) and engine (74); 13 complaints reported a crash and 7 a fire.
