Known issues on the 2013 C300. NHTSA records six recalls for the 2013 C300. On certain vehicles the bolt that joins the steering coupling may have been left under-tightened, risking a loss of steering; dealers check it and tighten it as necessary. Certain 4MATIC sedan versions were recalled because the driver air bag could deploy unexpectedly, a fault addressed by adding grounding to the steering components. Certain vehicles also carry eCall software whose date and time could differ from the real values, so an emergency call might pass along an inaccurate location. Owners filed 259 complaints, 99 on air bags, 67 on suspension and 58 on structure; 9 complaints reported a crash, 7 an injury and 2 a fire.
