Known issues on the 2011 Touareg. The 2011 Touareg has 4 recalls on record. Certain vehicles were recalled for a brake pedal pivot pin that could lack its retaining clip, letting the pedal come loose so the brakes might not apply; dealers fitted any missing clips. Certain Hybrid vehicles built within a set production window could collect water in the high voltage battery tray, risking a short and a fire, and received a drain valve.
