Known issues on the 2011 RX-8. Three recalls are listed for the 2011 RX-8. One of them targets fuel that could escape from the fuel pump mounting rings of certain 2011 RX-8 vehicles, a fire risk; the repair added new mounting rings and a fuel tank insulating pad. Passenger air bag inflators account for the rest, in certain cars covered by earlier air bag recalls but not yet repaired: the propellant could deteriorate with humidity and temperature swings until the inflator exploded, so owners were told not to drive until it was replaced.
