Known issues on the 2010 RX-8. Four recalls and 5 owner complaints are on record for the 2010 RX-8. Certain 2010 RX-8 vehicles left unrepaired after earlier air bag recalls were recalled again over passenger inflators whose propellant could deteriorate after long spells of humidity and repeated heating and cooling, so the inflator might explode on deployment; owners were told not to drive until a replacement was fitted. Certain cars could also leak fuel at the fuel pump mounting rings, and the remedy paired new rings with an insulating pad on the fuel tank.
