Known issues on the 2011 DTS. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the ignition: if the key is jarred out of the run position, the air bags may not deploy in a crash, and the vehicle can lose engine power, power steering, and power braking at the same time. The second covers V8-equipped cars where the starter or alternator cable can rub against the power steering return line, wearing through it and causing a power steering fluid leak that raises the risk of a steering loss or an engine-compartment fire.
