Two separate recalls cover the heated washer fluid system: a short circuit on the module's printed circuit board can overheat the control-circuit ground wire, causing other electrical features to malfunction, create an odor, or cause smoke, increasing the risk of fire; a later action found the heated washer module itself could ignite and cause a fire. The fourth covers the power steering hose connectors on V8-equipped cars, which may have been inadequately crimped and can leak fluid, causing a loss of steering assist and, if the fluid reaches hot engine parts, an engine compartment fire.
