Known issues on the 2009 DTS. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the ignition system: a heavy key ring can jar the key out of the run position, which can disable the air bags and cause a sudden loss of engine power, power steering, and power braking. The second covers the electrical system, specifically the heated washer fluid module, which can ignite and start a fire. Owners have filed 35 complaints for the year.
