2007 Isuzu F-Series Service and Repair Manual

The 2007 model year was the last before Isuzu updated the 6H engine in its Flint-built F-Series. FTR, FVR and FXR trucks for 2007 still carry the 7.8-liter 6HK1-TC inline-six turbodiesel, the same engine GM badged as a Duramax, and two separate recalls that year target its air compressor. This factory service and repair manual is written for that final pre-update configuration, with procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams, diagnostics and maintenance schedules covering the engine, air system, steering and driveline.

Known issues on the 2007 F-Series. Three recalls are on federal record. Two cover trucks with the 7.8L diesel and air brakes whose air compressor may not build enough pressure; stationary trucks can have their brakes stay applied, and continued pressure loss on the road sets the spring parking brakes. The third involves Bendix park control valves that can leak or restrict air so the park brake releases only partly or will not hold on uneven ground.
