1999 Isuzu F-Series Service and Repair Manual

For 1999 the Isuzu F-Series tilt-cab line in the US centred on the FTR and FVR, both built on the GM-assembled medium tilt cab and both powered by the 7.8-liter 6HK1-TC inline-six turbodiesel that GM also sold as the Duramax 7800. Federal model records list no FRR for this year. Two involve TRW steering parts: tie-rod ball sockets and drag-link ball sockets built with below-specification case depth or hardness, which can wear early and reduce steering control. The third covers manual-transmission tilt cabs whose clutch master-cylinder pushrod end can wear until the pedal no longer returns fully or the clutch engages unexpectedly.
