Known issues on the 2006 MDX. Six recalls are on federal record for this model year: four frontal airbag inflator recalls — three on the passenger side and one on the driver side — where an inflator explosion or rupture can send sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants, a hydraulic service brake fault in the antilock/traction control system that can cause sudden inadvertent braking, especially without illumination of the brake lights, and a replacement accelerator pedal assembly that can bind so the engine may not quickly return to idle after the pedal is released. Owners have filed 121 complaints and 42 technical service bulletins have been issued for this model year. This manual carries the factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems.
From a scheduled service interval to an antilock brake fault or a supplemental restraint repair, it keeps you on the factory procedure and the correct specification for your 2006 MDX.
