Known issues on the 2002 Prizm. One recall stands against these cars, and it came from the aftermarket: front strut mounts supplied as replacements lacked the weld between bearing housing and rate plate, so under extreme driving a strut can pull out of position and damage the components near it. The 32 complaints on record are thinly spread — five on the electrical system, five on the engine and cooling system, four on steering.
