The first covers aftermarket Tru-Flow water pumps sold under part number TFW 41127: a failure of the timing belt may cause the engine to shut down, potentially increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. The second covers certain Cardone replacement master cylinders: the seal on the master cylinder can fail and leak brake fluid, which can result in poor braking performance and possibly a vehicle crash. Owners have filed 38 complaints for the year, and no technical service bulletins are logged.

Remedy
Gates will notify owners, and dealers will replace the water pump, free of charge. The recall began during May 2014. Owners may contact The Gates Corporation at 1-303-744-1911.

Consequence

Remedy
