One recall is recorded for the 1995 88: certain 1995 88 vehicles were called back because a spring inside the headlamp and park lamp switch could fail, leaving the switch unable to latch the headlamps on and reducing visibility after dark; dealers replaced switches with suspect date codes. Owners filed 117 complaints, with air bags and engine and engine cooling at 21 each and hydraulic brakes and steering at 14 each. Of these, 12 reported a crash, 5 a fire, 8 an injury and 1 a death.
