1995 Ford Windstar Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 1995 Ford Windstar covers the minivan in its first form, with two pushrod V6 engines: the 3.0L and the larger 3.8L, both naturally aspirated and running on gasoline. Three bodies are listed, the three-door and four-door passenger vans plus the three-door cargo version, and four trims sit across them. The book documents procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics system by system, so the same volume serves both engines and either seating layout.

Known issues on the 1995 Windstar. Eight recalls are on federal record for this van. One of the largest covers the speed control deactivation switch, which can start an engine bay fire whether or not the engine is running. Another covers front coil springs that can fracture from corrosion and cut a tire. A third covers a passenger air bag inflator with a cracked body that may not deploy properly. Owners have filed 3,777 complaints with NHTSA, most of them about the engine and cooling system, followed by the power train and the service brakes. Cooling, transaxle and brake procedures are the sections a shop will reach for.
