This factory service and repair manual for the 1994 Dodge Spirit concerns a single-trim sedan: the 4-door in Base form. Two naturally aspirated engines were fitted, a 2.5L SOHC inline-four that runs on flex-fuel or gasoline and a 3.0L SOHC V6 on gasoline. The flex-fuel capability of the four-cylinder is what sets its fuel system apart. Specifications, torque values and wiring diagrams address the engine, fuel system, ignition, cooling, transaxle, brakes, suspension, steering and body.

Known issues on the 1994 Spirit. One recall, covering 200 vehicles, involved certain 1994 Spirit cars whose traveling seat belt lock bars, the belt anchors, fell short of the federal anchorage strength standard, so a belt assembly could let go in a crash. Replacement lock bar assemblies were installed. Owners also filed 87 complaints, with the power train and seat belts at 14 apiece; 9 complaints reported a crash, 11 an injury, 3 a fire and 2 a death. The body and restraint specifications and torque values in this manual apply to that hardware.
