Known issues on the 1991 Spirit. NHTSA records 3 recalls for this year. On certain 1991 Spirit vehicles, a stiffener in the front outboard belt webbing could push into the buckle and dislodge its latch guide, making the belt hard to fasten or release. Certain cars could also have front impact sensors never fastened to their brackets, which would keep the air bag from deploying in a frontal crash, and certain others could have front caliper guide pin bolts not torqued enough to stay tight.
