1993 Chevrolet Lumina APV Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 1993 Chevrolet Lumina APV lists Base and LS trims, cargo and passenger versions of the three-door mini van body, and two naturally aspirated overhead-valve V6s — 189 cubic inches and 231 cubic inches, both on gasoline. For a van used as equipment rather than as transport, that combination puts the emphasis on the drivetrain and chassis sections, and the manual supplies the diagnostic routines, clearances and torque values those repairs are held to.

Known issues on the 1993 Lumina APV. Three recalls are on the federal record, two of them on the belts. In one, a rear belt locks in its retractor and cannot be pulled out to be worn at all. In the other, the second-row right shoulder belt can be pinched between the seat and the pillar trim so that it fails to retract and no longer sits where it should on the occupant. The third is the transmission oil cooler line, which can separate under heavy load in cold weather and spill fluid that has caused fires. Seat belts also top the 54 complaints at 11, ahead of engine and cooling at eight.
