1991 Chevrolet Lumina APV Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 1991 Chevrolet Lumina APV takes in two bodies: the van is listed as a three-door mini passenger van and a three-door mini cargo van, in Base and CL trim, with the 189-cubic-inch overhead-valve V6 doing the work in both. Naturally aspirated and gasoline-fueled, that engine carries one set of specifications, so the split between the two bodies shows up in the interior, glazing and wiring sections rather than under the hood.

Known issues on the 1991 Lumina APV. Two recalls are on the federal record. In one, corrosion of the rear cradle bolt retainers lets the bolts pull through, and if both let go the rear cradle is no longer held at its mounting points, a failure that can put the van out of control while it is moving. In the other, the lower bolts of the front seat recliner mechanism can work loose, then fatigue and break, dropping the seat back rearward without warning. Owners logged 50 complaints, 14 on the structure and six each on latches and linkages and on the brakes.
