1992 Chevrolet C3500 Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual for the 1992 Chevrolet C3500 has four V8s, five bodies and three trims to account for — more combinations than a technician can hold in mind. The engines are a turbocharged 6.5-liter diesel of 395 cubic inches, a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter diesel, and the 7.4-liter 454 and 5.7-liter 350 on gasoline. Known issues on the 1992 C3500. Two recalls are recorded for this year. One is a brake pedal fault: the pivot bolt holding the pedal to its bracket could be left improperly tightened and never engage its locking material, so the bolt can back out of the nut and take braking control with it while the truck is moving. The other covers replacement fuel filters that seal poorly at the connection and can leak fuel where it may ignite.
