1991 Geo Prizm Service and Repair Manual

Stainless steel exhaust and black bodyside moldings were the visible updates for 1991, and the Geo Prizm lineup now listed Base, LSi and the sporty GSi. It was also the final year for the four-door hatchback alongside the sedan. Base and LSi used the 1.6L DOHC 4A-FE four-cylinder, while the GSi kept its 130-hp 4A-GE with four-wheel disc brakes. Known issues on the 1991 Prizm. Two recalls are on federal record: an equipment recall (10E002000) covering Gabriel and ArvinMeritor replacement front strut mounts built without the weld between bearing housing and rate plate; and a wheel recall (90V191000) for lug nuts that may have been torqued below the recommended specification.
