Known issues on the 2024 Crosstrek. There are 2 recalls on record for the 2024 Crosstrek. On certain vehicles the outer race of a front driveshaft could crack and snap, leading to lost drive power or letting the car roll away in Park if the parking brake was not set; dealers inspected the front driveshafts and replaced them where needed. Certain vehicles also lacked clearance between the instrument panel harness and the steering beam bracket, so the harness insulation could chafe, short and cut drive power. Owners filed 115 complaints, topped by exterior lighting (13), visibility and wipers (12) and forward collision avoidance (11); 8 reported a crash, 2 a fire and 3 an injury.
