The 2022 Audi A7 Sportback runs an electrified-only engine lineup: a 2.0L four-cylinder plug-in hybrid on engine code DLGA and a 3.0L V6 mild hybrid on code DLZA. The two are not interchangeable to work on, since the plug-in hybrid carries a high-voltage traction battery and an onboard charging system that the mild hybrid has no equivalent for, so the engine code on the car in front of you decides which torque figures, clearances and service sequences apply.

Known issues on the 2022 A7 Sportback. Six recalls sit on the federal record for this model year, five of them under electrical components. One covers the infotainment main unit, which may become damaged internally when the vehicle is shut off and leave the rearview camera display inoperative the next time the vehicle is started, reducing the driver's rear visibility and increasing the risk of a crash. A second reaches the rearview camera from a different direction: a software error may prevent the image from displaying as intended, again reducing the driver's view behind the vehicle. A third covers the gateway control module, which liquid spilled in the rear seat may penetrate and shut down; that shutdown suddenly reduces engine power. A fourth covers the fuel level sender, which may stick and cause an inaccurate fuel level reading on the instrument cluster, which may in turn cause an engine stall from lack of fuel. A fifth covers the compact charging system: at the 100% charge setting on the industrial 220V/240V plug, some home power outlets may be incapable of handling the electrical current required, causing the outlet or charging cable to overheat and raising the risk of a fire. The sixth applies to the plug-in hybrid, where the high-voltage battery may overheat, again a fire risk. No owner complaints and no technical service bulletins are logged for this model year.
A rearview camera that stays dark on the next start, a gateway module taken down by a rear-seat spill, high-voltage battery work on the plug-in hybrid: each one is an Audi procedure with its own torque values, test steps and sequence, held to this 2022 A7 Sportback rather than to a generic hybrid sedan.
