Known issues on the 2020 A7 Sportback. Eight recalls are on federal record for this model year. Rear axle misalignment left uninspected after an earlier repair can cause premature or uneven tire wear. An incorrectly manufactured passenger air bag score line may keep the bag from deploying properly and can eject plastic debris into the cabin during a crash. A broken lock nut on the rear trailing arm can misalign the rear axle and cause a loss of control. The passenger air bag may fail to deploy correctly through the instrument panel tear seam. A sticking fuel level sender can display an inaccurate fuel reading and lead to an unexpected stall. Liquid spilled in the rear seat can penetrate and shut down the gateway control module, suddenly cutting engine power. An incorrectly labeled brake fluid cap can lead to the wrong brake fluid being used, reducing braking ability. A software error can prevent the rearview camera image from displaying, reducing the driver's view behind the vehicle.
