Known issues on the 2021 Aviator. The 2021 Aviator has 28 recalls on the federal record. The low-pressure fuel pump on certain vehicles could fail and stall the engine while driving, and the fix is a powertrain control module software update. On certain vehicles the center display could flip or invert the rearview camera image in reverse, fixed with an accessory protocol interface module software update, and on certain others the windshield wiper motor could fail and leave the wipers inoperative. Complaints total 43, with the electrical system at 12, the engine at 6 and the power train at 5; 1 complaint reported a crash, 1 a fire and 1 an injury.
