2017 Ram 1500 Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 2017 1500. For the 2017 1500, 13 recalls are recorded. Certain trucks powered by the diesel V6 could have the high-pressure fuel pump fail and send debris through the fuel system, cutting off fuel and drive power; dealers replaced the pump and checked related fuel parts. On certain trucks, side curtain air bag inflators on either side could rupture because of a production defect and scatter metal fragments. Complaints number 871, with steering (222), engine (156) and the electrical system (109) at the top; 80 of them reported a crash, 48 an injury and 1 a death.
