2015 Ram 1500 Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual for the 2015 Ram 1500 takes in sixteen trims, a list that now reads from Tradesman and Express through Rebel, Laramie Limited and Limited. Three engines are documented. The 3.0L V6 is a turbocharged diesel with double overhead cams; the 3.6L double-cam V6 is naturally aspirated and runs on gasoline or flex-fuel; the 5.7L overhead-valve V8 is naturally aspirated on gasoline. Known issues on the 2015 1500. NHTSA has recorded 17 recalls against the 2015 1500. Certain trucks with the diesel V6 could suffer a delaminating tone wheel on the crankshaft position sensor, which robs the engine of its timing reference and can stall it; updated powertrain software lets the engine fall back on the camshaft signal. A separate campaign on certain diesel trucks addressed a high-pressure fuel pump that could break up internally and contaminate the fuel system, starving the engine. The 1,440 complaints center on steering (339), engine (334) and power train (225); 79 complaints reported a crash, 58 a fire, 40 an injury and 4 a death.
