The first covers the electric power steering assist system, where a software failure can cause an intermittent loss of power steering assist, increasing the risk of a crash. The second and third both cover the instrument cluster failing to provide a visual warning when brake pads are worn out; without that warning the driver may lose control of the vehicle while braking, or the vehicle may not respond as expected when braking, increasing the risk of a crash. The fourth covers the electrical system, where humidity entering the external coolant pump for the climate control system can cause an electrical short circuit and raise the risk of a vehicle fire.
