Known issues on the 2017 911. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the air bag restraint control module: a defective power supply capacitor in the air bag ECU can deactivate the air bags or cause them to deploy inadvertently. The second covers the side/window air bags, where the seat-mounted air bag inflator initiator may fail to ignite in a crash, so the side air bag will not deploy. The third covers the windshield, which on affected cars may not have been properly bonded during manufacturing and can separate from the vehicle in a crash.
