Known issues on the 2016 Sprinter. Weight labels are a theme among the 14 recalls NHTSA filed against wider Sprinter groupings. Among the 2016 Sprinter 2500 and 3500 models, certain vehicles with folding seats carried an unloaded weight label that could be wrong, which might lead whoever completed the vehicle to overload it, and certain vehicles, just 2, had a B-pillar label overstating how much they could carry; dealers replaced the labels. NHTSA also filed a recall against the 2016 Sprinter 2500 and 3500 models for certain vans with passenger airbag inflators whose propellant could break down and burst. The 2016 Sprinter line drew 88 complaints, with airbags, power train and service brakes on top. Airbag and brake diagnostics appear in the manual.
