Known issues on the 2011 Sprinter. Owners have filed two complaints on the 2011 Sprinter, involving the engine, stability control and service brakes. NHTSA filed four recalls against wider groupings. Against the 2011 Sprinter line, certain vans built between July 2010 and July 2014 could have a driver airbag inflator split under excess pressure, and certain vans could see the passenger inflator do the same once its propellant aged, either one able to spray metal fragments; the parts were replaced. Certain 2011 Sprinter 2500 models with an emergency exit window could have that glass come away from its hinge. The 2011 Sprinter line also drew 20 complaints, 8 on airbags.
