Known issues on the 2016 G550. Four recalls name certain 2016 G550 vehicles. With Distronic Plus engaged, a stability program malfunction could keep the engine from cutting power regardless of speed or braking, so stopping would take extra pedal effort or a shift to neutral; dealers reprogrammed the control unit. A separate campaign covered certain vehicles whose inner door release cable could snap if a door stuck, as after a crash, leaving occupants unable to open it from inside.
