Known issues on the 2016 A5 Quattro. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the electrical wiring for the auxiliary heater, where contact corrosion in the connector can cause the wires to overheat or melt, increasing the risk of a fire. The second and third both cover the engine cooling system's electric coolant pump, which can become blocked with debris from the cooling system and overheat, or in a related campaign short-circuit from internal moisture, in either case raising the risk of a fire.
