Known issues on the 2015 E550. The 2015 E550 appears in three recalls. Two are specific to convertible and coupe versions: certain cars first sold, or later registered, in a named set of states and territories carried front passenger inflators prone to exploding and spraying metal fragments, and certain vehicles had steering components grounded too poorly to keep the driver air bag from firing without warning. The third covered certain 2015 E550 vehicles whose emergency call software could misreport the date and time, and with it the car's location. Owners lodged two complaints, one of them about air bags.
