Known issues on the 2015 CLS550. The engine-bay rubber seal features in two of this year's four recalls. On certain cars it can stick to the hood and fall into the engine compartment when the hood is closed, and on certain cars built April 16 to April 22, 2015, the steel cable inside the seal may have been damaged during supplier rework, leaving it loose. Either way, contact with engine or exhaust parts poses a fire risk. Certain cars were also recalled because their LED tail lamps might not light at the sides.
