2015 Chevrolet Sonic Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 2015 Chevrolet Sonic documents three inline-fours, a naturally aspirated 1.6L DOHC of 98 cubic inches, a turbocharged 1.4L of 83 cubic inches and a 1.8L of 110 cubic inches that accepts flex fuel or gasoline, in sedan and hatchback bodies sold as LS, LT, LTZ and RS. The practical consequence for a technician is that fuel trim, boost and emissions diagnosis branch by engine, while the brake, steering, suspension and body electrical sections apply to every car in the range.

Known issues on the 2015 Sonic. Three recalls sit on the federal record, and all three are the same kind of fault: a radio that stops giving audible warnings. In one, no chime sounds when a belt is left unbuckled or a key is left in the ignition. In another, the chime is missing when the door is opened well after the ignition has been switched off. In the third, the radio locks up altogether, blanking the display and killing the audio along with those warnings. Complaints total 114, with 31 on the electrical system, 23 on the air bags and 12 on the power train.
