This manual is scoped to the 2014 GX 460 alone — the 4.6L V8 (1UR-FE), in Base, Luxury or Premium trim — so the clearances, torque values and service procedures you look up are the ones Lexus specified for that build rather than a close-enough figure borrowed from an adjacent model year.

Known issues on the 2014 GX 460. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year, and the first two land on the same part. Both cover the frontal passenger-side air bag inflator module: an inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants, resulting in serious injury or death. The first is limited to vehicles sold, or ever registered, in the states and territories Toyota grouped as Zone A. The second was issued for vehicles whose driver or passenger frontal air bag inflators had already been replaced under a prior recall using inflators of the same design. The third covers the fuel pump on the gasoline delivery side — if the fuel pump fails, the engine can stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. Owners have filed 21 complaints for the year, and no technical service bulletins are on record. The diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.
Whether you are tracing a stall back to fuel delivery, working around the passenger air bag module, or just meeting a scheduled service interval, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for your 2014 GX 460.

I HAVE A 2014 LEXUS GX 460 WHICH HAS AN OBVIOUS LEAN TO THE RIGHT/PASSENGER SIDE. THE PASSENGER SIDE SITS APPROXIMATELY 1" LOWER IN THE FRONT. WHEN I BRAKE THE VEHICLE PULLS HARD TO THE RIGHT EVERY TIME. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN FOR ME DUE NOT KNOWING IF THE VEHICLE WILL OVERTURN IF INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT/HARD BRAKING. IT IS ALSO A CONCERN THAT PARTS WILL EVENTUALLY WEAR QUICKER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE SUBSTANTIAL LEAN CAUSING SAFETY CONCERNS DOWN THE ROAD. I HAVE TAKEN
Constant rebooting of the Infotainment system which includes heat/air conditioning - defrosting of windows etc. I have had this problem for more than a year. I have consulted with Lexus dealerships. I was told this problem exists with various models of Toyota and Lexus. Every time I start the vehicle - it starts rebooting - then the screen keeps blinking on and off like it is beginning to start then it stops. I have disconnected the battery to re attempt. Works for 2 minutes than fails. I purcha

The infotainment center in my 2014 GX460 is stuck in the rebooting phase. This system controls the cars temperature, radio, and vehicle settings. Not being able to access all of the temperature controls poses a safety risk especially with extreme temperatures. Ive heard this is a common issue with this vehicle and am shocked there hasn’t been a recall for it.

The infotainment screen on my 2014 Lexus GX 460 has been restarting continuously, rendering it unusable. These malfunctions could pose a safety risk, especially if the AC cannot be adjusted in extreme weather conditions. There were no warning lights
