Known issues on the 2011 Canyon. Of the five recalls attached to the 2011 Canyon, the gravest involves rear axle cross pins that were not properly heat treated and could fracture, costing the driver directional control without warning. A second concerns a wiper motor crank arm nut left short of specification, which could stop the wipers sweeping, and a third covers hoods whose primary latch might not engage and could fly open in motion.
