Known issues on the 2011 Durango. NHTSA lists 8 recalls for the 2011 Durango. On certain vehicles built in a stated window, the fuel pump relay inside the power distribution module could fail and stall the engine; 189,206 vehicles were covered, and dealers moved the relay outside the module. Certain 2011 Durango vehicles with electro-hydraulic power steering and specific alternators could see the alternator fail suddenly, stalling the vehicle or shorting and raising the risk of fire. Owners made 798 complaints: the electrical system accounts for 514, the engine 179, the fuel and propulsion system 119. Of them, 57 reported a fire.
