The 2010 Toyota Venza was sold with either the 2.7L four (1AR-FE) or the 3.5L V6 (2GRFE), and in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, so two Venzas of the same model year can call for different torque figures, different service intervals and different driveline work. This is the factory service and repair manual written for the 2010 Venza, which is what keeps those figures tied to the car in front of you rather than a neighboring model year or a different engine family.

Known issues on the 2010 Venza. Eight recalls are on federal record for this vehicle. One covers the accelerator pedal, which can get stuck in the wide open position; a stuck open accelerator pedal may result in very high vehicle speeds and make it difficult to stop. A second covers the front passenger seat occupant sensing system, which can be out of calibration. A third covers the side curtain air bags: the Supplemental Restraint System wiring may become damaged with regular use, and damaged wires may cause the air bag sensor to become inoperable. A fourth covers the brake light switch, because inoperative brake lights would not warn other drivers that the vehicle is slowing or stopping. A fifth covers the front seat heaters, where a damaged copper strand heating element may short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire. The remaining three are label recalls: on one, an inaccurate label could lead to owners overloading their vehicles and tires; the other two cover vehicles that fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 110, "Tire Selection and Rims," and on one of those a driver may overload a vehicle, which may increase the risk of a crash. Owners have filed 110 complaints against the 2010 Venza and Toyota has issued 107 technical service bulletins for it.
Whether it is a brake light switch that has quit, an occupant sensing system reading out of calibration, or scheduled maintenance on the V6, the procedure and the figure you work to are the ones Toyota wrote for this 2010 Venza.
