Known issues on the 2010 CX-7. Suspension leads the 155 owner complaints for the 2010 CX-7 with 52, air bags follow at 46 and exterior lighting at 22; 2 reported a crash, 2 a fire and 1 an injury. The federal record also lists 5 recalls. One recall covers certain 2010 CX-7 vehicles from a specified production window: salt-contaminated water could corrode a front ball joint and pull it free of the lower control arm, costing steering control, so both front lower control arms are replaced. Owners of certain vehicles sold or registered in certain states were told not to drive until the passenger air bag inflator was replaced, since degrading propellant could make it explode.
