Known issues on the 2009 LS 460. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the gasoline fuel delivery system, specifically the hoses, lines and fittings: anti-corrosion plating remnants can let fuel leak from the point where the fuel pressure sensor attaches to the fuel delivery pipe, and a fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. The second covers the electric power assist steering system: improper activation of the steering system protection logic can cause the steering wheel to become off-centered by up to 90 degrees, which may happen after the driver has fully turned the wheel in one direction and then quickly attempts to turn it back to the center position, and should this occur while driving, the risk of a crash is increased.
