Known issues on the 2008 LS 460. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year. One covers the gasoline fuel delivery system — hoses, lines, piping and fittings: anti-corrosion plating remnants can let fuel leak from the point where the fuel pressure sensor attaches to the fuel delivery pipe, and a fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. The other covers the engine itself: micro-foreign objects in the material of the valve spring may degrade the strength of the valve spring, possibly causing the spring to break, and the engine could fail and stop suddenly while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of a crash.
