Known issues on the 2007 Freestar. Two recalls are on federal record. One covers third row seats on vans registered in a list of northern states, where the seat may be left unlatched and add to the risk of injury if the van is struck from behind. The other concerns aftermarket fuel filters whose quick connectors may not seat fully on the tube, allowing a fuel spill. Owners have filed 64 complaints with NHTSA, mainly about the power train, with vehicle speed control and engine cooling behind it, and all three are documented here.
